Meetings
The Branch holds meetings every term and as required. The agenda of business for all Branch General and
Committee meetings is determined by the committee but will always aim to include pay, conditions, collective
agreements and other matters under discussion with

unless a member has indicated otherwise.
The Annual General Meeting of the Local District is held no later in the academic year than 31 May. Notice
confirming the date of the AGM is sent to all members at least two months before the date of the AGM.
The District also holds at least three ordinary General Meetings during the year, and wherever possible, dates of all
such meetings and the AGM will be published and circulated to members at the start of the academic year via
email/website. The schedule of District Committee meetings shall be determined by the Officers, and the agenda for
all District General and Committee meetings shall be determined by the Committee.
So, how do I become a Local Branch Officer?
Any NEU member who works in an
educational setting in
Oxfordshire can nominate themselves to be a Branch
Officer.
District Officer?
Any NEU member who works in an educational setting in
Oxfordshire or any retired member can nominate
themselves to be a District Officer.
All Branch members are given the

for election for any of the Branch Officer positions listed

join immediately once you have attended a
meeting to express your interest. If all committee places are already full,
then you will be unable to join until the following academic year.
